Our organic Greek oregano essential oil naturally reinforces the immune system. It is derived from the plant with steam distillation and it contains its aromatic and therapeutic properties, highly concentrated.
Numerous recent scientific studies have demonstrated that oregano essential oil has strong antibiotic, antifungal and antioxidant properties that enhance the immune system naturally, without altering the body’s natural balance. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recognised oregano essential oil as a safe and potable substance (Generally Recognized As Safe-GRAS). Also, carvacrol has been approved for food use by the European Union (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 872/2012 )
Our careful choice of the oregano plant species, Origanum vulgare ssp. hirtum, endemic in Greece, was made with a view to creating a premium quality product, with unique antibiotic properties.
Our farm and produce is certified organic by Biohellas and is supervised by researchers from the National Agricultural Research Foundation and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, within a continuous effort at quality improvement.
